AOGC Hosts a Professional Workshop in Collaboration with Uzbekneftegas (UNG)

An online workshop was held in Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation (AOGC) in collaboration with Uzbekneftegas (UNG) to build capacity, boost professional knowledge and experiences.

In order to enhance capacity, increase professional knowledge, and develop specialized skills of personnel in the oil and gas sector, an online training workshop on the topic "Oil and Gas Storage Management, Digitalization, Loss Management, Calculation and Minimization, and Laboratory Analysis of Petroleum and Gas Products" was launched to share knowledge and experiences.

This training program officially began on Monday (June 10, 2025) in collaboration with UNG Training LLC. Participants included staff from the storage and laboratory departments of the Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation, students from the Oil and Gas Department of Kabul Polytechnic University, and employees of the Afghan Gas Company. The program is being conducted virtually.

The five-day training workshop is being held under a mutual cooperation agreement between UNG and the Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation. Its main objectives are to develop technical relations, exchange experiences, transfer professional knowledge, and provide both short-term and long-term training opportunities for Afghan staff.

UNG Training LLC, a subsidiary of the joint-stock company Uzbekneftgaz of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is recognized as a reputable training institution in the oil and gas industry at the regional level. The organization specializes in designing and implementing technical training programs, building human resource capacity, and developing professional skills in the oil and gas sector.

The Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation has expressed hope that such initiatives will play a valuable role in empowering professional staff and elevating the operational standards of the country’s oil and gas sector.
